o There would be 100 questions in all out of which 70 General and 30 Specific Questions.
o All questions will carry equal marks.
o The questions will be of objective type multiple choice questions.
o There will be no negative marking.
o The General Questions will be contained in the Part I of the question paper while the different sets of
Specific Questions will be included in the Part II of the question paper.
o The Part II of the question paper will have four sub-parts namely
part II A (Sociology), part II B (Social Work), part II C (Economics),part II D (Psychology)and Part II E (Anthropology).
o Each Candidate shall select one of the subjects listed above and answer appropriate Subpart of Part-II
of the Question Paper.The subject so selected should the one in which the candidate has done Post graduation
an attempt to answer Part II of a subject in which the candidate has not done his/her Post graduation
shall lead to non-evaluation of sub part II of that Candidate.
o The level of the questions would be of Post graduate standard.
Part I
a) General English (10 questions)
b) General Knowledge, general awareness about Punjab/India, UN agencies related with health & child development
(WHO, UNDP, UNICEF & UNESCO), statutory provisions relating to women & child development (10 questions).
c) Current affairs of national & international importance (10 questions).
d) Knowledge regarding scientific facts such as information technology, environment (environmental pollution,
legislations and enforcement mechanism), human development indicators such as child health, child education,
role of PRLs and NGOs etc. (15 questions).
e) Knowledge of Social sciences: basic concepts and relevance (15 questions).
f) Administrative ability; Group dynamics, coordination, communication, motivation/morale, leadership, citizens
participation (10 questions).
